We
love them dearly, but we
are no longer breeding or
showing Persians
If you are looking for an
adorable kitten, check
out our Manx
Kitten
page
Most
of the success of Kelsha
Persians is due to Lois
Bant, Bolo, and Ken
& Linda Casey,
Aftabi, for allowing me
the honor of having two
gorgeous males. While
Kelsha had had prior
successes, it was Ch
Aftabi California Gold of
Kelsha DM, and GC NW RW
Bolo Rodeo of
Kelsha, bred to each
other's daughters, that
catapulted the
Kelsha Persian line to
the top and set the look
of our
National/Regional/Distinguished
Merit award winning
Persians.
Kelsha
Persians are known for
magnificent type. They
naturally carry great
weight and bone, a huge
plus for show cats. Our
cats have large heads
with huge eyes and tiny
ears, set on short necks.
Their bodies are very
short and broad and
round with deep chests,
and widely set, straight,
short legs. The properly
carried tail is short.
Overall, the expression
is open and pretty.
Showing is a beauty
contest, but good
attitude and playfulness
in the ring are important
as well.

This
photo of CH
Aftabi California Gold of
Kelsha DM was
taken at his only
show. Sweetie-Pie Beau,
as we call him, went
to a campaign show as
a studly male of 2 1/2
years. As an Open, he
made two finals. He
showed perfectly, but
stood on the judging
table like a
magnificent steel
spring. Beau went home
and scratched out a
2" x 6" swath
of his ruff, ending his
show career. Beau was a
gift from his breeders,
dear friends Ken &
Linda Casey, and is still
siring top show kittens
at Aftabi.
